Fees and Billing
For our residential clients
Our Initial consultation fee is $175, which is non-refundable and payable at the conclusion of the first appointment and covers 2 sixty-minute appointments.
The first appointment is to determine our client?s project needs, styles and budgets. The second appointment is a presentation of the appropriate fabric, wallcovering, and furniture selections. Clients make their final selections at this time. Quotations are provided after this meeting based upon their decisions. A 50% deposit is required after final quotations are provided to and approved by the client. Final balances are due at time of delivery or installation.
If the selection process extends beyond the two initial appointments, Z Interior Decorations, inc. may bill $100 per hour for any additional selection and travel time. We prefer that all decision-makers be present at both of our meetings to minimize your costs associated with the project. By addressing both parties questions or requirements for budget, timelines, and materials, we can more quickly develop your final plan without reworking selections that may have been made by one party that the second party rejects and thus creating additional costs for your project.
Purchasing products through us will include the design fee associated with them.
If purchases are not made through us for the agreed upon items, then Z Interior Decorations will bill the client for the time and expense involved with research at $100 per hour.
For any product that is researched and not purchased through Z Interior Decorations or other services that are provided that do not include a product purchase such as floor plan design, color board development, bookcase arrangement, etc. Z Interior Decorations will bill the client at a rate of $100 per hour. A minimum charge may apply.
For interior selections made in conjunction with building a new home, fees would be billed at $100/hour.

For our Builder clients
If you would like to contract with us to provide services in making selections for your spec homes or working with your custom home clients, please call us for current hourly rates.
Travel time
Due to the rising costs of gas, travel time and mileage may be charged at $1.00/mile for any segment over 20 miles each way. This will be billed to the client on a monthly basis during the project and the invoice will be due upon receipt.
Travel expense
When requested to travel out of state or out of the Columbus metro area, expenses incurred by Z Interior Decorations may be billed to the client monthly for transportation, lodging, meals, and related expenses.
Measurement fees
If we engage our installer to template specialty windows or to conduct measurement in a two-story application or other specialty needs, client may be billed a trip charge for the installer as well as the cost of preparing the template which will include labor and materials per occurrence.
